Online Registration

Welcome to the registration page for the 2008 Steamtown Marathon.  Please be advised that all registrations will be handled through Active.com via the Internet this year.  We are no longer accepting paper registrations.  The reasons for this are as follows:

      1) The percentage of online registrations for the Steamtown Marathon has increased dramatically every year since 2002.  In 2007, the vast majority of entrants registered via the Internet.

                  2) Online registration is faster and greatly improves accuracy.

      3) It will free-up our volunteers (we have no staff) to tend to other important and crucial marathon duties.

                  4) It is environmentally friendly (less paper = less trees).

      5) It is becoming standard practice.  Steamtown joins numerous other marathons such as Grandma’s, Dallas White Rock, Austin, etc… in eliminating paper entries.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Also, we will be sending our entrants several e-mail updates as race day draws closer.  If you do not have an email account, you can create one for a free one by logging onto: www.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com.

Note:  if you entered Steamtown in 2007, but were unable to compete due to injury or illness, please send an e-mail to racecommittee@hotmail.com for special registration instructions.
