Here’s some advice if you need lodging for the Steamtown Marathon: Make your reservations early!!  By race day the Scranton area hotels will be filled to capacity.  The longer you wait to book your room the further you will be staying from the bus pick up area and finish line.

A local travel agent, Around the World Travel, has blocked many hotel rooms at several area hotels for the marathon.  If you’d like Rosemary Yankovich and her team at "Around the World Travel" to assist you in reserving your hotel room(s) you can contact them directly. They have partnered with the Steamtown Marathon for many years and will be more than happy to assist you with all of your lodging needs:

Another great resource for hotel and lodging information is the Lackawanna County Convention and Visitors Bureau (www.visitnepa.org). The staff of the Bureau are veterans at helping marathoners in need of lodging assistance. The Bureau's toll-free phone number is 800-229-3526

Below is a list of area hotels if you’d prefer to make your reservations directly.  Please be advised that the marathon does not have any “official” race hotels.  Being on the list does not imply endorsement by the marathon. The hotels represent all of the properties within about 20 miles of the finish line and are listed to give you the maximum opportunity to find lodging for the race.

Also, if you are planning to fly to Steamtown, the closest airport to the finish line/bus pick-up area (10 minute ride) is the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. If you are unable to find a direct flight to this airport, you may have some luck finding a connection through any of the following cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
