Elite Entry / Prize Money
The Steamtown Marathon welcomes elite athletes and offers a limited number of elite packages annually. If you are interested in applying for an elite entry please send an e-mail to racecommittee@hotmail.com. Include a brief bio and your recent race history (within three years) and be sure to include your top marathon and half marathon times and day and evening phone numbers. Race Director Bill King will contact you to discuss your potential elite status.
Prize money breakdown is as follows.
Prize money is equal for men and women.

Top Seven Finishers, Overall 1st - $2,000 2nd - $1,000 3rd - $800 4th - $500 5th - $300 6th - $200 7th - $100

Top Three Finishers, Masters 1st - $300 2nd - $200 3rd - $100

Top Three Finishers, Local 1st - $300 2nd - $200 3rd - $100
|
Top Three Finishers, Wheelchair 1st - $300 2nd - $200 3rd - $100

Total Prize Money is $13,400. With the exception of the top local finisher category the Steamtown Marathon does not duplicate awards.
